Aaron Curtiss

Aaron Curtiss leads Sitrick And Company’s in-house digital efforts. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Mr. Curtiss spent more than 20 years at the Los Angeles Times as an editor, reporter, opinion writer and an executive leading strategic change initiatives. For eight years, he served as technology editor, directing The Times’ coverage of digital media and Silicon Valley and the launching of a weekly personal technology section. He also served as a member of the paper’s editorial board, crafting editorials arguing the paper’s position on a variety of topics. As an advertising executive, he implemented changes to the paper’s $100-million preprinted ad business that significantly improved both revenues and margins. His last position at The Times was as director of innovation, leading the shift to online publishing and a reworking of the website. At Sitrick and Company, Mr. Curtiss has led successful corporate and crisis communications campaigns — including proxy fights, an international environmental program and litigation support. A native Californian, he has an MBA from UCLA and a journalism degree from USC, where he also taught for seven years. He also studied land-use and environmental planning at UC Santa Barbara.
