Anita-Marie Laurie
Anita-Marie Laurie, who heads the firm’s West Coast restructuring practice, joined Sitrick And Company in 1997. She has been the lead executive or co-lead for some of the largest bankruptcy cases in the country, including Delphi and U.S. Airways bringing value to her clients through strategic counsel, implementation of successful communications programs, effective case management and maximizing cost efficiencies. Ms. Laurie has extensive experience in handling the sale of assets through the 363 process; most recently completing the successful sale of Fuddruckers’ Restaurants to Luby’s and the sale of Claim Jumper Restaurants to Landry’s. Other cases with which she has been involved include ClaimJumper Restaurants, Stations Casinos, Primus Communications, Lake Las Vegas, LyondellBasell, PTS, ACG and Vertis, Delphi, US Airways, National Steel, Eagle Foods, Mirant, Remy International, Kimball Hill Homes, Eagle Picher, LTV Steel, Conseco and Maxim Crane Works. In all, M. Laurie has been involved in more than 100 in- and out-of-court restructurings for both large and small, public companies and private corporations, providing internal and external communications strategy, counsel and program implementation. Additionally, she has worked with a variety of clients on a number of other issues, including litigation, crisis management, investor relations and finance. Prior to joining Sitrick, Ms. Laurie worked for the City of Santa Barbara and McDonald’s Corporation, where she held various positions in the area of economic development and real estate investment. Ms. Laurie holds an undergraduate degree in Humanities from Pepperdine University, where she also attended post graduate classes.
