Jeffrey Lloyd, Ph. D.

Jeff Lloyd first joined Sitrick And Company in 1991. During his tenure with the firm, he has provided strategic communications counsel on virtually every kind of assignment the firm has undertaken, including corporate repositioning, litigation support, defending against short-sellers, financial restatements, executive resignations, proxy contests, in-and out-of-court restructurings and other types of crisis communications. His ability to dig deeply into the facts, tenacity and skill dealing with Wall Street and the media have resulted in numerous victories for the firm’s clients. He recently completed a seven-year assignment as the Managing Director for the firm’s New York office. Dr. Lloyd also has a broad understanding of the rules and regulations associated with shareholder communications resulting from two brief sabbaticals from Sitrick when he served as the Senior Vice President of Marketing for two mutual fund groups. He earned his Series 7 (“Registered Representative”) and Series 24 (“Principal”) NASD licenses in connection with these positions. Drawing upon this specialized background, other previous roles at the firm include establishing and has leading the firm’s investor relations practice, where he helped publicly-traded companies build shareholder value by communicating more effectively with their various key constituencies (including current and potential shareholders, sell-side and buy-side analysts and the financial media). He holds an MBA and a PhD in Marketing from UCLA. While working on his PhD dissertation he served as a member of the business school faculty at California State University, Northridge, where he taught classes in business strategy, consumer behavior and marketing. Just prior to joining Sitrick, he spent several years running his own financial public relations firm. Dr. Lloyd is also fluent in Spanish. He enjoys comedy writing and has sold scripts to “Archie Bunker’s Place,” and “Joe’s World.” He served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Chile shortly after getting out of college.
