Robert Emmers
Robert has been involved in a wide range of matters during his 10 years with Sitrick And Company, from representing the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians to advising and counseling companies that have encountered digital privacy problems. During his tenure with the firm, he has provided strategic counsel to a number of high-profile individuals and companies, helping them work through difficult situations including litigation, ownership issues, product recalls and regulatory investigations. Prior to joining Sitrick, he was managing editor of the Los Angeles Daily Journal, one of the country’s premier legal publications. This capped a distinguished journalism career during which he was the featured metro columnist for The Orange County Register, an investigative reporter and feature writer for the Detroit Free Press and city editor for the Norfolk, VA Virginian-Pilot. He was honored with a number of journalism awards and was a four-time nominee for the Pulitzer Prize. In addition, Mr. Emmers was a licensed private investigator, owning and operating his own investigative firm, and worked as a fraud investigator for a major insurance firm, where he was responsible for a number of referrals to state attorneys general.
